Forget the almond flour: For some people, this pasta is the best way to go.
“The pasta’s the best option if you want a higher protein than pasta, and you want to save money,” says Angela C. Smith, M.D., a health psychologist at the University of California, San Francisco, who was not involved in the study.
“Almonds are rich in protein, which is great for weight loss.
So if you’re looking for something high in protein and low in carbs, almond flour is probably the way to do it.”
A higher protein option That’s not to say almond flour has everything.
For one thing, it contains lots of sugar.
But, like all good pasta options, it also contains some fiber, which helps you get enough calories to get the same amount of weight loss as a high-carb pasta.
The fiber helps reduce the risk of constipation.
“It has a lot of vitamins, including calcium, iron, and manganese, which are really important for good health,” Smith says.
Plus, almonds are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to help lower blood pressure and help you lose weight.
If you want more fiber, try using flax seeds instead.
“If you have a lot more fiber in your diet, you’re going to get a lot less fiber from flax,” Smith adds.
“And if you don’t eat flax, you may have a more severe constipation problem.
If flax is a big part of your diet and you don.t eat flix, you can eat flux.”
The almond flour’s high protein, low carb and high fat content also means it’s more filling than other types of pasta.
And because it contains only half as much calories as a standard pasta, it’s a good choice if you have more than two or three people.
That’s because a large number of studies have found that a high protein meal with a low carbohydrate portion of pasta is associated with a higher risk of heart disease, diabetes and stroke.
You can also take a high fiber, low fat, high protein option, such as almond flour or buckwheat flour.
You could also make your own almond flour and add it to your pasta if you like.
“This is a good option for people who are trying to lose weight and want a more economical option,” Smith suggests.
“A lot of people use the pasta to lose fat and have an overall healthier lifestyle.”
